Addiction, Gambling
Gambling at first seems to be a harmless entertainment for thousands if not millions of our senior citizens. I live in Las Vegas and see them every time I walk through a casino busy playing the slots or bingo. A lot of teens are also getting hooked online. Poker tournaments are on TV all the time. Casinos give prizes for cashing paychecks in the casino. Some lose it all before they get home to their families. High-rollers drop millions in exchange for being treated like royalty. Many on welfare buy lottery tickets in hope of hitting it big and getting out of poverty. Entertainment or desperation? Millions are being lost by people who can’t afford to lose. Let me hear your views and solutions.
